Johnson String Instrument will deliver rental violins, violas, cellos and basses for the Weston Public School string program on Monday, September 15th, 6:00-8:00pm At the Field School, Weston.
We recommend registration, which ensures that an instrument of appropriate size will be reserved for your child until 8:00 PM. If you are unable to register in advance, you can complete a rental contract at the delivery.
Instrument sizing: Because Weston string teachers provide instrument sizing for students during the first week of school, parents can register without knowing which instrument size is required. JSI will provide sizing if your teacher does not size your child before September 15th You can bring your child to the rental night if you are unsure of the size, but you do not necessarily need to bring your child to the school if the instrument size is known.
Please note: We require a credit card number as security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by cash, check or credit card. Rates include tax and insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail or over the phone. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the initial 3-month rental period plus any additional time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.
Accessories: Weston string teachers ask that violinists and violists purchase either a foam shoulder rest or Kun shoulder rest. In addition, players should purchase an Essential Elements 2000 book and a music stand. An endpin anchor is recommended for cellists and bass players. These items are not included in the rates listed above, but their cost can be added to your rental payment at the delivery.
Weston violin, viola and cello rates include a bow upgrade ($4 monthly introductory rate). Your registration confirmation will reflect the monthly renewal rate ($6 for violin and viola, $8 for cello), so your invoice total will be less than the rate shown on your confirmation receipt.
