Fall 2008 Rental Deliveries

Dear Marblehead Parent,

Johnson String Instrument will visit the Village School in Marblehead on Thursday, September 18th, 5:00 – 7:00 PM to provide students with rental instruments. At our deliveries we arrange new rentals and exchanges, and accept returns.

Registration: To reserve an instrument, you should register before September 18th. Advance registration is the only way to ensure that an instrument of appropriate size will be reserved for your child until 7:00 PM. If you are unable to register in advance, you can complete a rental contract at the delivery.

Basses are available in limited quantities, so you must call 800-359-9351 to register for bass delivery.

Please note: We require a credit card number as a security deposit on the rental contract. However, you are welcome to pay the rental fee by cash, check or credit card. Rates include insurance. Renewals can be done through the mail. Yearly rates are less expensive and if you return early, you will be charged only for the time used. Rental equity program: A portion of rental fees paid may be used toward the purchase of an instrument.

Books and accessories: Your teacher has requested that all new players purchase additional items. These include a Champion Strings book for violinists, violists and cellists. Violinists and violists will need either a foam shoulder rest or Kun shoulder rest. Cellists will need a Xeros endpin anchor, and bass players will need a rock stop. Other items will be available, but you should order in advance if you need an item other than those listed above.
