SHOPMADE BOWS


The shopmade bows that we represent are made under the guidance of master bow makers. These consistently precise, high quality bows, from Belgium, Brazil, and Germany, offer the player a wonderful alternative to the more expensive individual work of master bow makers.

BELGIUM
The shopmade bows that we represent coming out of Belgium are made under the guidance of master bows makers, including Robert Pierce, Pierre Guillaume, and J. P. Bernard. These bows feature hand-planed sticks from select wood. Camber, graduation, and model are made to the master's specifications. These strong yet responsive bows give a solid, sure feeling to the player, while providing an interesting multifaceted sound. These are consistently precise, high quality bows.

J. P. Bernard
The J. P. Bernard bows listed here are meticulously crafted under Pierre Guillaume's direction. Made with the same skilled workmanship found in Pierre Guillaume's personal bows, these shopmade bows are an excellent value for any player.

Brazil's bow making tradition, although relatively recent, has grown to include many fine shops.
